Fluid dynamics is the study of fluid flow and has many applications such as in aerodynamics of vehicles, fuel flow and hydrology. The nonlinear differential equations that describe fluid flow do not usually have closed-form solutions and often requires either clever analytic manipulations or numerical computations. Recent research interests include stability of fluid flow, surface tension gradient phenomena and granular flow.
